The Honourable Scott Fielding

MLA, Kirkfield Park and Minister of Finance, Province of Manitoba

Scott Fielding was elected to the Manitoba Legislative Assembly representing Kirkfield Park in the Manitoba general election of April 19th, 2016.  Since May 3rd 2016, Scott served as Minister of Families with responsibilities for Employment and Income Assistance, Housing and Persons with Disabilities. Scott has served as Vice-chair for Treasury Board and on August 1st 2018, was sworn in by Premier Brian Pallister as Minister of Finance with responsibilities for the Civil Service Commission and Central Services. In addition to his many portfolio responsibilities, is also the Chair of the Treasury Board.

Scott previously served two terms as a Winnipeg City Councillor, where he was Chair of Finance and the founding Chair of the Winnipeg Police Board.  Scott graduated from the University of Manitoba with an Advanced Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Studies. He has always been an active member of the community and has served on the boards of various organizations including the Winnipeg Convention Centre, Assiniboine Park Conservancy and the St. James Village Business Improvement Zone. As a business owner, City Councillor and MLA, Scott has also been an active member of the Assiniboia Chamber of Commerce.
